Hip Stretch

I know a lot of us struggle with tightness in the hips, so I’ve included a link to the stretch I use to warm up. I start with the Runner’s Stretch, which I hold for 10 not 30 seconds, because I am going to keep the hip complex stretching as I advance through two more positions. Next, I balance on my knee for ten seconds; if you are new to balance stretches I recommend keeping a chair or weight bench close, so you can catch yourself if you start to fall. In the third stage, I go full yoga by balancing on one hand, while reaching for the ceiling with the other. I hold that for ten to 15 seconds and return to Runner’s Stretch.
